I'm fairly certain that St Mary is normally kept locked with no keyholder [there certainly wasn't one listed], but I arrived as they were preparing for a funeral so got to see inside. Built in 1848 it's externally run of the mill and somewhat dull internally but there's an exceptional Thomas Wilmshurst enamel east window.
ST MARY. 1848 by Buckler. Carstone. Bellcote at the E end of the nave. Lancet windows with plate tracery. - STAINED GLASS. By Wilmshurst the E window (TR). Still Reynolds’s Faith, Hope, and Charity from his New College windows at = Oxford, but interpreted in strong colours. Heraldic motifs around.
