Coates, Cambridgeshire

And so to my 226th and final Cambridgeshire church [or so I believe, but only last week I found I'd missed Gorefield so can't be 100% certain].

Holy Trinity is a fairly dire Victorian build which was certain to be locked. Or so I thought until I  saw affixed to the door a note reading "Please Come In and Spend Time in God's House!' [sic].  How refreshing I thought and, knowing it would be a dull interior, grasped the handle and found....the door locked!

HOLY TRINITY. 1840 by J. Wild (GR), aisles added 1874 and 1890. Yellow brick, in a minimum Norman style, with NE tower and flat E end.

Holy Trinity (6)

Mee missed it.
